I'm Emily, owner of Mode Studio. I'm here to support you in all aspects of your fitness and wellbeing and want to ensure that you feel confident and proud of everything you achieve here.
Having worked in fitness management for nearly 10 years, I recognised the need for an alternative, realistic approach and attitude towards health and wellbeing, away from jargon heavy, goal-centric training and cold, sterile environments. I wanted to create a space to support both mental and physical wellbeing, leaving clients simply feeling better. Not growing up as particularly sporty or athletic, and dreading sports activities in school, I have gone on to complete two (!) marathons, 4 half marathons, qualified as a mat Pilates and Yin Yoga instructor and found such joy and relief from movement in my adult life.
I have experienced the challenges of changing my lifestyle to achieve the level of health and fitness my body deserves, and feel very grateful that I have the opportunity to share my knowledge with you. I have worked with clients from all walks of life, with varying levels of ability and experience, witnessing my clients positive change.
Through a holistic approach, my focus is on encouraging movement to aid health & longevity in a way that is sustainable to the individual, resulting in feeling better, both in body and mind.
